Huawei Mobile has officially launched the Huawei Mate 10 into the Kenyan market through online retailer Jumia Kenya which will exclusively sell the mobile device online for 2 weeks before it gets into the retail stores across the country.

This is part of a global launch programme seen as a unique market entry strategy for Huawei Mobile Kenya. The new Huawei Mate 10 features 64GBs of memory and will retail at Kshs 79,999, with the Mate 10 pro, which comes with 128 GB of memory, priced at Kshs 89,999.

A key feature is the Artificial Intelligence processor that is adaptable with ones surroundings making the phone stand out in this competitive market.” said Huawei Technologies Public Affairs Senior Director Adam Lane, speaking at the launch. “We are also delighted to partner with Jumia for this launch as part of a commitment to diversify our distribution channels to include popular e-commerce platforms,”

Moving forward, Huawei intends to increase its market share through strategic partnerships with Mobile Network Operators, Device retailers and distributors in their quest to reach untapped markets.

Huawei says that its Mate 10 features the world’s first artificial intelligence processor to offer users a faster, stronger and seamless experience. A powerful Kirin 970 with a built-in neural processing unit (NPU) enables the Huawei Mate 10 to analyze and adapt to its surroundings while offering a fast and strong performance.

We intend to have a long lasting partnership with Huawei thus ensure that all Huawei devices available online have warranty and ensure Huawei Customer service provides solutions to any rising concerns from our customers. With the increase in online shopping we strongly believe we will play a key role in increasing the market share for Huawei Mobile.”

The Huawei Mate 10 series has a 5.9- inch screen with a 16:9 display, a 3D Glass Body featuring a barely-there-bezel, symmetrically curved on all four sides, HUAWEI FullView Display and HDR10 supported technology for intensely vivid and brighter colors.
