Lifestyle solutions services provider Safaricom has today flagged off its Twaweza Live Experience, a caravan and mix of entertainment, product education, customer services, free medical camps and community projects, which the company hopes will be a platform to interact with its over 29 million customers across the country over the next seven months.
The campaign, which was officially launched a week ago, is set to visit Rift, Central, Eastern, Coast, Nyanza, Western and Nairobi regions.
“The Safaricom Twaweza Live Experience aims to solidify our connection with customers across the country. The campaign will take us closer to them and forms an important part of our strategic pillar of putting the customer first, which involves understanding their needs and making impactful investments in community projects that transform their lives,” said Charles Wanjohi, Acting Director of Consumer Business – Safaricom.
The roadshow caravan will spend ten days in each region, during which the company’s regional sales and operations teams will deliver services and great offers on devices right to customers’ doorsteps.
The campaign will also provide a platform for Kenyan musicians to showcase their talent through live music concerts, with a focus on growing and nurturing local music through talent searches and boot camps, which are set to target over 1,000 musicians, while also teaching business and financial skills aimed at empowering artists to turn their passion for music into profitable businesses.
Through the Safaricom Foundation, there will also be investments in six community projects selected by Kenyans in different regions over the seven-month period.
The Safaricom Twaweza Live Experience kicks off in the Rift region with the opening of the company’s second retail shop in Nakuru town. To close the first leg of the roadshow caravan, customers will be treated to a live music concert at the Eldoret Sports Club on 26th May featuring artistes such as Naiboi, Vivian, Njugush, Redsan, Nyashinski, Mercy Masika, Sweet Star, DJ Joe Mfalme and DJ Malaika.
